Igus has introduced Stepper & DC Drives for controlling DC, BLDC & stepper motors. This article is particularly about the Stepper Drive, which is called igus D1 Drive.

We offer this D1 (Stepper Drive) along with our screw-driven and belt-driven systems. The igus D1 Drive acts as a versatile single-axis motor controller, ensuring smooth stepper motor control for a wide range of industrial applications.

The D1 Stepper Drive is compatible with industrial motor controller systems such as Siemens and Beckhoff, as well as open-source modules like Raspberry Pi and Arduino. It also supports Ethernet motor control for reliable connectivity and communication.

The DC motor drive, BLDC motor drive, and EC motor controller options allow users to easily integrate motion systems with various automation setups. The D1 has CANopen, Ethernet communication ports, and both digital and analogue input & output options.

There are many benefits, such as no need to install any software, easy parameterization or easy programming. The system can even be connected to a tablet or smartphone, making it one of the most user-friendly motor controller solutions for engineers and automation professionals.
